QuickBooks 2007 Launches with New, Streamlined Features

The Payroll Center in QuickBooks 2007 provides an end-to-end view of your most important payroll tasks, from paying employees to paying taxes and filing your forms. The improved Payroll Center also will display due dates for your payroll schedule, including when to pay your taxes, who to pay, and how much. These new enhancements in QuickBooks 2007 make it even easier for you to efficiently manage your payroll.

At-a-Glance Screen and One-Click Access

The Payroll Center is an at-a-glance screen that gives you a single place to go for payroll-related tasks and information. The Payroll Center notifies you of due dates, includes information about your subscription status, and provides links and access points to all key payroll features and data (such as paying employees and payroll liabilities), making it easier for you to stay on top of your payroll. Everything is available with one-click access.

Notification of Important Due Dates and Information

From the Payroll Center, you can see the date(s) that your payroll is due, and the Payroll Center will account for bank and legal holidays. Additionally, for Direct Deposit and QuickBooks Assisted Payroll subscribers, the due date will reflect the two business banking days that Intuit needs to process paychecks, so you know exactly when your payroll is due.

Now the Payroll Center will display which agency or vendor to pay, when to pay, and the amount due. This information can help you streamline the task of paying your payroll taxes and other payroll liabilities.

Scheduled Payroll Groups

If you process payroll for groups of employees on different schedules, now you can establish scheduled payroll groups. QuickBooks Payroll will display which group to pay and when. Only those employees who are to be paid within the selected schedule will be displayed. This speeds up payroll processing by allowing you to group employees for payroll, rather than selecting them individually each time you process payroll.
