For QuickBooks Direct Deposit Customers

QuickBooks Payroll will not process direct deposits on Monday, May 25, 2009, and Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, because of the Federal Reserve Bank's observance of the Memorial Day and Labor Day holidays. To comply with the Fair Labor Standards Act, you might need to send your direct deposit payroll earlier than usual.

I Do My Own Tax Filings

March 31, 2009: Deadline to file Copy A of all the Forms W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, you issued for 2008—if you file electronically.

April 30, 2009: Deadline to file Form 941 for first quarter 2009 if you did not deposit all taxes when due.

April 30, 2009: Deadline to deposit FUTA tax owed through March if more than $500.

May 11, 2009: Deadline to file Form 941 for first quarter 2009 if you timely deposited all required payments.

July 31, 2009: Deadline to file Form 941 for second quarter 2009 if you did not deposit all taxes when due.

July 31, 2009: Deadline to deposit FUTA tax owed through June if more than $500.

Aug. 10, 2009: Deadline to file Form 941 for second quarter 2009 if you timely deposited all required payments.

I Get Assistance with My Taxes

March 27, 2009: Deadline to submit your first quarter 2009 information without incurring backdate fees.

May 5, 2009: Date that copies of your first quarter 2009 payroll tax returns will be available in the Payroll Tax Center.

June 26, 2009: Deadline to submit your second quarter 2009 information without incurring backdate fees.

Aug. 5, 2009: Date that copies of your second quarter 2009 payroll tax returns will be available in the Payroll Tax Center.

April 15, 2009: Deadline to file 2008 federal individual income tax returns.

April 15, 2009: Deadline to file individual and corporate estimated tax payments for the first quarter of 2009.

June 15, 2009: Deadline to file individual and corporate estimated tax payments for the second quarter of 2009.

Sept. 15, 2009: Deadline to file individual and corporate estimated tax payments for the third quarter of 2009.
