Online Banking Improvements in QuickBooks 2005

QuickBooks 2005 can help you save time with two big improvements to online banking functions.

Add Multiple Downloaded Transactions at Once
Once you download your transactions from your participating credit card or bank web site*, you can enter them into QuickBooks in as little as one click.

Associate Multiple Payee Name Versions with One Payee
You can now also associate payees from your downloaded transactions with names already in your QuickBooks Vendor, Customer, or Other Names lists. QuickBooks can now standardize the downloaded entries, helping to ensure "clean" lists and accurate reports.

Online banking customers told us that their Payee list kept growing, as a result of the unique ID information that downloaded banking and credit card transactions bring with them. For example, you may buy your office supplies from Office Depot, which has many store locations, plus a web site you can order from. Your credit card statement lists each store location you buy from — and the web site — as separate payees. Up until now, when you download your credit card transactions, QuickBooks also treated each location as a separate payee.

In QuickBooks 2005, you can now tell QuickBooks that "OfficeDepot#246" and "OfficeDepot#487" are two different names for the same payee.

QuickBooks 2005, improved with these and many more features, is available for sale now. Read more on the QuickBooks web site.
